Pearl of the day: Get out & take in!!
Ahhhhhh (choo!), spring is in the air.
On my morning walk, I pranced through the sun and shade and felt like Charles Dickens pearl “It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light, and winter in the shade”.
Spring has the elements of the past, present and future, all depending on where you stand.
Time to shake off any emotional baggage or lethargic energy and meet the world anew. Your gifts will bloom like how the flowers take turns in the garden each one knowing in perfect tall order when to emerge and bask in the sun. Seeds somewhere planted in the past are beginning to emerge and awaken from their winter slumber fresh and new.
Time to gather the kids (and sunscreen and nasal spray) dust off the kids bikes and get back into the swing of spring. Get back into nature, go for a walk, hit the zoo, have a picnic get outside!
Yet when we step outside of our shell we look back and go, what a mess! So, do some spring cleaning and clear out! As your changing out your winter wardrobe and bringing in your spring do an inventory and clear out and donate the worn to make room for the new.
For it’s only when we clear that we can welcome what’s to come. This winter, I had a very sad day, I finally fit into a pair of one of my favorite pre-baby jeans (yeah!). Why sad, well, when I pulled them up and looked in the mirror, well, they turned into mom jeans (booo)!!!
My body has changed shape countless times particularly in the past 5 years and in its new form and the new incarnation of mom, well, my one-time cool jeans were no more. Time to let them go and enjoy my new more shapely figure.
Call your friends to help you do a clearing or better yet surprise them with a gift from your past self and watch how quickly you see your friends shed their scaly winter skin! Do a shopping trip and stick to your budget.
Have some fun and find your smile – that’s what spring is for! Your future awaits.
